Tasting Notes

New release!  Winemakers use refrigeration technology to control fermentation temperatures, so we have adapted this art in making our version of "ice wine".  We were the first winery in Virginia (1994) to use cryoconcentration to make dessert wine and have set the standard with our Vd'Or.  In a blind tasting, Vd'Or was rated higher than a similar wine costing $350.  Evokes honey, mandarin oranges.
