Rockbridge Heritage, like it's similar predecessors Red Wine ('98 and '99) and Cabernet ( '94 through '97), is a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and for an extra burst of fruit in a problematic vintage, Chambourcin.

The wine has good cassis, cherry and spicy aromas and a firm, full palate with moderate tannins and will reward 3-5 years of cellaring while being delightful for current drinking. It received a solid rating of 86 in the Wine Spectator.
